“If You Don’t Like What You See, Change It!”

dose5

The Bible’s story is one of Change from Genesis, the book of “Beginnings,” to Revelation, where God Himself says: “…Behold, I make all things New…” Therefore, whatever your situation is today, Change Is Possible Through Him!

It doesn’t matter where you are, you are nowhere compared to where you can go.” (Bob Proctor).

However often you’ve repented, confessed and tried changing, God Can Change What You Can’t – And Make the Change Last!

The Scripture is Still True: “Now Unto HIM That Is ABLE…” (Jude 24). The word “Able” means “Having the Power, Skill, or Means To Do Something; or to be Skillful and Competent”. Its Latin Origin “Habilis” literally means “Handy”. Therefore, Regardless to How Long You’ve Been Like This, or “Its” Been Like This, Your God Is Able to Change You and “It” For the Better, For Good! How? Because He Has the Power To Do It, He Has the Skill To Do It, He Has the Means To Do It, And He Is Competent Enough To Do It! So, Put It In His Hands, Because He Is ‘Handy’ Enough to Handle It! It’s Time For You to Change, No More Excuses!

I love Bikram Choudhury’s point of view on Change, he said: “Never too old, never too bad, never too late, never too sick to start from scratch once again” So I Reiterate, No More Excuse! It’s Time For You to Change!

However, Change Requires Understanding Certain Principles. Let’s see what they are:

1. YOU DON’T NEED TO CHANGE OTHERS IN ORDER TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE:I’d be happier if only he’d stop…”; “Things won’t improve for me until she starts…Such beliefs make you focus on the Problem and Not the Solution, Ignore Realistic Options and Feed Depression! Therefore, follow the admonition of the Word of God:Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don’t be impressed with yourself. Don’t compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best YOU CAN WITH YOUR OWN LIFE” (Galatians 6:4-5 MSG). Instead of trying to change others, which only produces Resistance and Resentment, Let God Show YOU What YOU Need To Do Differently To Improve YOUR Handling Of The Problem! You See, When You Stop Doing What Doesn’t Work and Change Your Reactions to the Problem, Others Often Change Spontaneously! In a chronically leaking boat, energy devoted to changing vessels is more productive than energy devoted to patching leaks” (Warren Buffett). You’re Getting Nowhere Trying to Patch Up the Leaks In Other People’s Lives/Boats! Instead Reserve That Energy and Be More Productive By Changing Your Own Boat and Saving Your Own Life! Sometimes, you have to step back even from those whom you love and let them handle their own life, as you get a handle on yours. Galatians says to carefully explore who you are and the work you have been given and sink yourself into that, not into them! Work on becoming the person God has intended you to be and the works that He has entrusted to your hands to fulfill. That alone will keep you busy for a lifetime! Instead of concentrating on them, concentrate on you and make improvements on your own building. Does your attitude need adjusting, your faith need increasing, your hope need refreshing, your trust need deepening? Does your habits and addictions need to be addressed? Does your marriage or family or children have issues that you’ve unsubscribed from because you keep renewing the issues from everyone else’s lives and crisis? Can you become a better believer, leader, spouse, coworker or boss? Does your prayer life need improving and your consecration need more consistency? Do you need to add more time to your Word study? Are you flowing or stagnant in your anointing? Are your gifts stirred up and set on fire or just dashed in ashes? In other words, we are all a work in progress, but you’ll get stuck in your progress if you keep comparing yours to theirs, or trying to fix theirs instead of your own. You’ve been given this one life, make it the best it can be, which will never happen if you’re constantly working overtime to change them and theirs, but taking vacation, sick, personal and comp days when it’s time to change you and yours! REMEMBER: YOU DON’T NEED TO CHANGE OTHERS IN ORDER TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

2. TRUE CHANGE BEGINS BY ADDRESSING YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD: Bitterness and Frustration over problems just result in distancing from God, leaving you to handle the issue in your own strength. Surrendering to Him Changes You Fundamentally, Challenging Pride, Envy, Resentment, Fear, Dishonesty, and the like…Which Are All Characteristics of Poor Life Management!Let’s take a good look at the way we’re living and reorder our lives under God…” (Lamentations 3:40 MSG). With…our lives under God…,we’re more Honest, Self-Aware, Able to Perceive Realistically; We’re Respectful, and Prepared to Become A Better Person! But This Requires You To Tighten Your Relationship With The Lord! You Need Him Near For The Change To Take Place But You Have To Keep In Mind: Come Near To God, And God Will Come Near To You…” (James 4:8 NCV). Did you recognize the order of Nearness? The Responsibility Falls On YOUR Shoulders FIRST!Come Near To God…and AFTER you do…God Will Come Near To You…You See, The Only Thing Holding Up Your Process of Change, Is Your Procrastination to Come Near To God FIRST!  If you want Him to Come Near and Change You, You’ve FIRST got to Come Near Him In Communion!  So, Renew Your Relationship With Him, FIRST, and He Will Do The Rest! So many have made their relationship with God out to be a 911 distress call only! That’s the basis of their communication. They get in a jam, and cry out to God. Is that wrong? Of course not. But it is if it’s the only time in which you do! Imagine being married, but the only time you speak to your spouse is when you’re in a jam! The only time you spend time with your spouse is so they can get you out of the trouble you got yourself into. What if the only intimacy you have with your spouse is when there’s a crisis? Exactly how long do you think this marriage is going to survive such a one-sided damaged relationship? Well, God is the very same way! He values relationship. After all, He gave us the life, death and life again of His only begotten Son for no other reason than so He could develop a relationship with us as His children also. Therefore, don’t you think that a relationship with Him is going to require more than a ‘help me God’ conversation? A relationship with God is talking to Him; listening to Him; complimenting, praising and worshiping Him. It’s trusting Him, and having faith in Him. It’s leaning on Him when you know there’s no other way for you to remain on your feet. It’s loving on Him, consistently. It’s faithfulness and unconditional love. It’s lovingly mentioning His name, and letting everyone know that you belong to Him alone. When is the last time you romanced God that way? If you had to stop and think about it, your relationship with God needs some immediate repair work done! God doesn’t want to change you from a distance, He desires an up close and personal relationship, so, how near (or far) have you allowed yourself to become? Selah…REMEMBER: TRUE CHANGE BEGINS BY ADDRESSING YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD!

3. YOU MUST BE WILLING TO CHANGE UNCONDITIONALLY: In the early stage of therapy, counselors bump into theChange-If syndrome. The client sees change as a strategy of give-to-get:I’ll change if they are willing to do…If not, I won’tWith God, your reward for changing is intrinsic. You get the joy of His approval, plus all the benefits that follow from being a Changed Person! This includes God’s Gift of…salve to put on your eyes, so you can see” (Revelation 3:18 NIV). The ability to see things clearly will enable you to understand the problem and deal with it effectively, Regardless of What Someone Else Does, or Doesn’t Do! You Have to Want Change For Yourself, And Not Based On Anyone Else’s Actions, or Lack Thereof! So, Just In Case They Don’t Get Any Better Keep in mind:Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together” (Marilyn Monroe). Whether the Friendship or Relationship Stays Intact Or Not, You Need to Make the Decision to Change Yourself, For Yourself, Unconditionally! Think about it, what if they decide they are very comfortable with their dysfunction and see no need nor reason to change, does that mean you’re supposed to stay the same too? Absolutely Not! If your friendSHIP or relationSHIP or leaderSHIP has been damaged, and water is leaking everywhere and it’s about to sink, do you stay in the boat with them because you’ve both been in this same boat with each for such a long time? Or, do you make the executive decision that something needs to change, and quickly?! When a lifeboat comes alongside you and they say, ‘you can go ahead if you want to, I’ll stay right here, nice and comfortable where I’ve always been’, do you sit back down and remain in a dysfunctional dingy or do you leave them to their craziness and get out into that available lifeboat, even if it means the saving of your own life and the loss of theirs, at their own hands? It may sound harsh, but you can’t live your life boxed into the decisions of how others have decided to live theirs. Love you unconditionally enough to change you, even if they remain the same. REMEMBER: YOU MUST BE WILLING TO CHANGE UNCONDITIONALLY!

4. YOU MUST ACCEPT THE TRUTH THAT CHANGE MEANS LETTING GO OF THE PAST: Whatever You Cling To Ultimately Controls You! If the offense resulted from your actions, or the loss from your poor judgment, Confess It To God, Receive Forgiveness and Leave It At the Cross! If it was the other person’s fault, but you’ve held onto it because you think you’re the innocent party anddeserve your pound of flesh,Remember: the Freedom and the Options You Miss Are Too High a Price For the False Comfort of Being Right!Be kind and compassionate to one another, Forgiving each other, just as in Christ God Forgave You” (Ephesians 4:32 NIV) Or better yet, another translation says it like this:Make a clean break with all cutting, backbiting, profane talk. Be gentle with one another, sensitive. Forgive One Another As Quickly And Thoroughly As God In Christ Forgave You” (MSG). This will Release You From the Chains of Resentment and Give You Back Your Future! If You’re Bound by Chains of Regret Over “coulda, shoulda, woulda,” God Stands Ready to Make Your Future Better Than Your Past Could Ever Have Been (Joel 2:25, “I’ll Make Up For The Years…” MSG). Dr. Maya Angelou clearly agreed because she said:Someone was hurt before you, wronged before you, hungry before you, frightened before you, beaten before you, humiliated before you, raped before you…YET, Someone Survived…You Can Do Anything You Choose To Do And you can choose to ask God to help you change so He can make up for the years! Please, Choose to Change Your Cold, Unforgiving Heart, and Enjoy a Better Life! Keeping in mind:Getting over a painful experience is much like crossing monkey bars. You have to let go at some point in order to move forward” (C.S. Lewis). Far too many waste years of their lives pointing fingers, laying blame, making excuses and justifications, giving reasons, but never changing. Today is the day where you break this bad habit! Whether it happened 30 seconds, minutes, weeks, months, or years ago, let it go! The forgiveness is for you not for them! It’s so you can finally be free from your emotional prison that’s causing you to go mentally insane! Do your part of asking for forgiveness, and extending forgiveness, then leave the rest in God’s hands as you change what He’s strengthened your hands to handle! REMEMBER: YOU MUST ACCEPT THE TRUTH THAT CHANGE MEANS LETTING GO OF THE PAST.

5. CHANGE MEANS ACCEPTING RISK: Your anxiety will kick in and say,What if I don’t get the job? What if the economy fails? What if I make the effort to change but they don’t?We like ironclad guarantees. The predictable always feels less threatening than sticking our necks out! But the Price of Our Security Often Means Remaining Stuck With the Status Quo! Sometimes Your Greatest Risk Is Taking No Risk At All! God Often Requires You to Leave the Path That Feels and Looks Safe, For the One That Feels and Looks Risky! Why? Because:NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses” (Hebrews 11:1 AMP). Your Faith Is Full-Proof Assurance, God’s Confirmation, the Title Deed Guaranteeing That the Change You Want Will Take Place If You Act On It!Nothing diminishes anxiety faster than action” (Walter Anderson). “Change in its simplest definition meansTo Make Or Become DifferentThat’s all God is looking for you to do! Take a Risk and Do Something Different! After all, all that you have been doing up til now hasn’t worked, so What Have You Got To Lose? Ask yourself,If I Dare to Change, What Could I Finally Gain?” Because: “If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten” (Tony Robbins) Break out of that neat little box with the bow that you’ve trapped yourself in all these years. For once, don’t follow the crowd! Don’t do what everyone is telling you, you ought to do. Seek God, hear what He has to tell you, then follow His lead! Let 2019 be the year you take a risk on YOU! You’ve spent enough of your years taking risks on everybody else and their lives, families, businesses, education, ministries, churches, vision, goals, and dreams. This time is your time to take a risk on you! REMEMBER: CHANGE MEANS ACCEPTING RISK!

6. CHANGE WILL HAPPEN IF FAILURE IS NOT ALLOWED TO STOP YOU: Fear of Failing Often Stops Us From Trying, Yet Many of God’s Best People Experienced Failure On Their Way to Success! Consider Abraham, Moses, Elijah, David, etc…All of Them Succeeded Only AFTER Dealing With Personal Failure! Indeed, the Richest, Most Profound Change Often Happens AFTER We’ve Tasted Failure! Until then we tend to be cocky and of not much use to God! Peter failed the Lord miserably, and at the most crucial moment (Matthew 26:50, 72,…some men came forward, took hold of Jesus, and arrested him…Again Peter denied it and swore with an oath, “I don’t know the man!”  GWT). But even after that, Peter grew, becoming Christ’s Choice to Lead His Newly Empowered Church On the Day of Pentecost, Winning Three Thousand Souls (See Acts 2)! So Don’t Let Failure Stop You! You Can Change! Even the Apostle Paul went from beating Christians to becoming one and leading many! Here is the test to find whether your mission on earth is finished. If you’re alive, IT ISN’T!” (Richard Bach) Yes, Even After All Your Failures, You Too Can Still Change! You’re not too old; it’s not too late; and you haven’t messed up too bad! God can bring recovery out of your ruins if only you’d trust Him! REMEMBER: CHANGE WILL HAPPEN IF FAILURE IS NOT ALLOWED TO STOP YOU!

In a Nutshell: You’ve been this way long enough! Therefore, no more excuses, reasons or justifications! Today simply determine to Change Your Life For the Better! REMEMBER: IF YOU DON’T LIKE WHAT YOU SEE, CHANGE IT!

“Get Off the Fence!”

on-the-fence

1 Corinthians 10:21, “You cannot drink [BOTH] the Lord’s cup AND the cup of demons. You cannot SHARE in BOTH the Lord’s table AND the table of demons [thereby becoming PARTNERS with them].” (AMP)

Anyone that really knows me will tell you Winter is my absolute favorite season! Outside of the lights, fireplaces, Christmas carols and shopping, the one thing that was the most fun of all as a child (and most certainly, as an adult) was building a Snowman! My masterpiece would be fat, friendly, with a top hat, a carrot nose, button eyes, my mama’s silk scarf (you don’t even want to know the trouble I got into over that one), my dad’s work boots (another troublesome time for me), and of course a broom in his hand (yet, I still have no idea why most snowmen have one, he’s a snow “man”, surely he’s not using it to sweep anything, sorry brothers…lol).

Now as much as I enjoy building my Masterpiece of a Snowman, there’s one thing I hate…they don’t stay the handsome creature I formed so laboriously! You see, as the temperature rises, he gradually loses his shape and identity until he slowly becomes Mr. Softy instead of Mr. Frosty! In essence, he’s melted down to nothing but a puddle that someone can walk in, walk on, or walk over!

Sadly, what happens to snowmen seems to be happening to more and more of God’s people! They’re slowly going soft, melted by the heat of a culture that applies heavy pressure to compromise both Christian convictions and Christian lifestyles! And some of us are becoming so melted you can hardly tell the difference between us and the lost people around us anymore! Even though the Bible clearly admonishes us in Romans 12:1-2: “So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.” (MSG)

Church, we are not designed to fit in but to stand out!

Which is why I’ll never understand why far too often we forget that our God is a God of Distinction!

“I will make a CLEAR DISTINCTION between My people and your people. This miraculous sign will happen tomorrow.” (Exodus 8:23 NLT) The Message Bible says it like this: “I’ll make a SHARP DISTINCTION between your people and Mine…” (MSG)

But the LORD will again make a DISTINCTION between the livestock of the Israelites and that of the Egyptians…” (Exodus 9:4 NLT)

“But among the Israelites it will be so peaceful that not even a dog will bark. Then you will know that the Lord makes a DISTINCTION between the Egyptians and the Israelites.” (Exodus 11:7 NLT) The Message Bible says it like this: “But against the Israelites – man, woman, or animal – there won’t be so much as a dog’s bark, so that you’ll know that God makes a CLEAR DISTINCTION between Egypt and Israel.” (MSG)

“On that day I will gather you together and bring you home again. I will give you a good name, a name of DISTINCTION, among all the nations of the earth, as I restore your fortunes before their very eyes. I, the Lord, have spoken!” (Zephaniah 3:20 NLT)

A “distinction” is defined as “something that is recognizably different”. And the word ‘recognizable‘ is defined as ‘to identify and acknowledge as valid and legal.‘ Meaning everyone, especially the world, should be able to look at our lives and lifestyles and see a recognizable difference that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt, that we are NOT one in the same with them! Our speech ought to sound different; our dress ought to look different; our behavior and actions ought to reflect different; our thoughts ought to be different; the company we keep ought to be different; how we respond to attack, emotions and conflict ought to be different; the people, places and things attached to us ought to be different. There ought to be a recognizable difference between their dark and our light. A recognizable difference in our lives and lifestyles that make even unbelievers identify and acknowledge that our walk and talk in God are valid and legal.

Unfortunately however, we watch what they watch, we listen to what they listen to, we wear what they wear, we talk like they talk, we go where they go, we do what they do, we say what they say, we think like they think, we act like they act, we do business like they do business, we bail out of marriages like they do – actually more than they do! We slowly melt away morally the Jesus-difference that is meant to draw people to a life-changing – not life-conforming – Savior! Which is why the Word of God admonishes us: “So, come out from among [unbelievers], and separate (sever) yourselves from them, says the Lord, and touch not [any] unclean thing; then I will receive you kindly and treat you with favor.” (2 Corinthians 6:17 AMP).

People of God, Rediscover Your Distinction Before It Has Irreparable Damage!

Increasingly, we seem to be practicing our culture rather than practicing our faith; a culture that casually accepts the unacceptable has caused us to grow soft about what we will watch and listen to and what we’ll allow our children to let into their hearts and minds. Things we never would have considered allowing into our lives or into our minds or homes just a few short years ago.

Which is why I reiterate; the Word of God admonishes us: “Don’t become partners with those who reject God. How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong? That’s not partnership; that’s war. Is light best friends with dark? Does Christ go strolling with the Devil? Do trust and mistrust hold hands? Who would think of setting up pagan idols in God’s holy Temple? But that is exactly what we are, each of us a temple in whom God lives. God himself put it this way: “I’ll live in them, move into them; I’ll be their God and they’ll be my people. So leave the corruption and compromise; leave it for good,” says God. “Don’t link up with those who will pollute you. I want you all for myself. I’ll be a Father to you; you’ll be sons and daughters to me.” (2 Corinthians 6:14-18 MSG).

If we would dare to tell the whole truth, we’ve even gotten soft on something God says in the Book of Malachi that He Hates – Divorce (“I hate divorce,” says the God of Israel. God-of-the-Angel-Armies says, “I hate the violent dismembering of the “one flesh” of marriage.” So watch yourselves. Don’t let your guard down. Don’t cheat.Malachi 2:10 MSG).

In a relatively few years, a Trickle of Christians ending their lifetime marriage commitment has grown to a Flood! It looks increasingly as if Jesus makes little or no difference in life’s most intimate, most committed relationship! And of all people we should mimic when it comes to “oneness” it ought to be Jesus! “The Father and I are one.” (John 10:30 NLT). Jesus never forfeited the “Oneness” He has with the Father, EVEN when the Scripture says: “Still, it’s what God had in mind all along, to crush Him with pain…” (Isaiah 53:10 MSG). Or worse in the King James Version: “Yet it Pleased the LORD to bruise Him…” Even through that, Jesus maintained the commitment of “Oneness”: “…Nevertheless not My Will, But Thine, Be Done.” (Luke 22:42). Can you image the amount of Christian Marriages that would Never see divorce if we maintained our “Oneness”, even as Jesus did, regardless to the pain attached to remaining ONE?! Through pain, suffering, agony, spit, slaps, mockery, and even deliberate, purposeful bruising from the One He Loves and Loves Him! Yet, He Kept His Oneness With the Father Intact. And I admonish us as Christian Married Couples to Do the Very Same!

But sadly that is not the case today, instead the heat has made us more and more soft on issues like the sanctity of marriage or even of life, whether it’s standing without compromise for the life of an unborn child, or the life of a born child who’s living in awful need – or the life of the elders who gave us our life.

Again, where’s the Jesus-difference? Why have we gone soft? Why have we allowed our convictions, and beliefs to melt down to nothing? And what does our melted ministries and lifestyles look like? The Bible says this: Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery (‘voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and a person who is not their spouse’), fornication (‘consensual sexual intercourse between two people not married to each other’), uncleanness (‘dirty; immoral; regarded in a particular religion as impure and unfit for or consumption; evil’), lasciviousness (‘feeling or showing an overt or offensive sexual desire.’ Latin Origin ‘lascivia’ meaning, ‘lustfulness’), Idolatry (‘worship of idols’), witchcraft (‘the practice of magic, especially the use of spells and the invocation of evil spirits’), hatred (‘intense hate’), variance (‘being indifferent or inconsistent; a state of disagreeing and quarreling’), emulations (‘to compete to be equal to or better than another, to rival’), wrath (‘extreme anger’), strife (‘angry or bitter disagreement’), seditions (‘conduct or speech inciting rebellion against authority’), heresies (‘belief or opinion contrary to orthodox religious -especially Christian – doctrine’), Envyings (‘discontented or resentful longing aroused by another’s possessions or qualities’), murders (‘the unlawful premeditated killing of one person or another’), drunkenness (‘affected by alcohol to the extent of losing control of one’s faculties or behavior’), revellings (‘to engage in lively and noisy festivities; to gain pleasure from.’ Old French Origin ‘reveler’ meaning ‘to rise up in rebellion’, from Latin ‘rebellare’ meaning ‘to rebel’), and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.” (Galatians 5:19-21).

Sadly, this has become the “norm” even in the House of God! Which should scare us straight since the Word of God declares:  1 Peter 4:17, “For it is the time [destined] for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not respect or believe or obey the gospel of God?” (AMP) The Message Bible reads, “It’s judgment time for God’s own family. We’re first in line. If it starts with us, think what it’s going to be like for those who refuse God’s Message! If good people barely make it, what’s in store for the bad? So if you find life difficult because you’re doing what God said, take it in stride. Trust Him. He knows what He’s doing, and He’ll keep on doing it.” (vss. 17-19 MSG)

Think Church! If Judgment is Starting With Us First in Line, Shouldn’t We Get Off the Straddling Fence of Compromise BEFORE the Lord’s Return?!

“But if you don’t want to worship the Lord, then choose right now! Will you worship the same idols your ancestors did? Or since you’re living on land that once belonged to the Amorites, maybe you’ll worship their gods. I WON’T. MY FAMILY AND I ARE GOING TO WORSHIP AND OBEY THE LORD!” (Joshua 24:15 CEV)

DON’T YOU THINK IN THIS DAY AND AGE, THIS SHOULD BE OUR HOUSEHOLD DECLARATIONS?!

After all, perilous times aren’t coming, THEY’RE HERE!

2 Timothy 3:1-9, “But understand this, that in the last days dangerous times [of great stress and trouble] will come [difficult days that will be hard to bear]. For people will be lovers of self [narcissistic, self-focused], lovers of money [impelled by greed], boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane, [and they will be] unloving [devoid of natural human affection, calloused and inhumane], irreconcilable, malicious gossips, devoid of self-control [intemperate, immoral], brutal, haters of good, traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of [sensual] pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of [outward] godliness (religion), although they have denied its power [for their conduct nullifies their claim of faith]. Avoid such people and keep far away from them. For among them are those who worm their way into homes and captivate morally weak and spiritually-dwarfed women weighed down by [the burden of their] sins, easily swayed by various impulses, always learning and listening to anybody who will teach them, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres [the court magicians of Egypt] opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, unqualified and worthless [as teachers] in regard to the faith. But they will not get very far, for their meaningless nonsense and ignorance will become obvious to everyone, as was that of Jannes and Jambres.” (AMP)

SOUNDS A LOT LIKE TODAY’S TIMES DOESN’T IT?!

Which is why it’s so vital that the CHURCH get herself together and NOW!

We Will Be Held Accountable, and God is Coming to Balance Out the Books With Us FIRST!

1 Corinthians 3:9-15, “For we are God’s fellow workers [His servants working together]; you are God’s cultivated field [His garden, His vineyard], God’s building. According to the [remarkable] grace of God which was given to me [to prepare me for my task], like a skillful master builder I laid a foundation, and now another is building on it. But each one must be careful how he builds on it, for no one can lay a foundation other than the one which is [already] laid, which is Jesus Christ. But if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will be clearly shown [for what it is]; for the day [of judgment] will disclose it, because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality and character and worth of each person’s work. If any person’s work which he has built [on this foundation, that is, any outcome of his effort] remains [and survives this test], he will receive a reward. But if any person’s work is burned up [by the test], he will suffer the loss [of his reward]; yet he himself will be saved, but only as [one who has barely escaped] through fire.(AMP)

Saints, it’s time to get ourselves together! Christ return is soon, and He’s looking for a church without spot or wrinkle, who He will hold accountable! Let’s make sure we’re living in such a way that we don’t come up deficient!

You see, somewhere along the lines we’ve forgotten what the Word of God tells us: “…know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We are not here to serve ourselves, but to use ourselves in His service! And to be in His service is to be holy vessels that can be used!

2 Timothy 2:21, “Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things [which are dishonorable – disobedient, sinful], he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified [set apart for a special purpose and], useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.” (AMP) There’s a process to being used by God, and that is to first be cleansed, sanctified, and set apart! And this cannot be done compromising with the culture of this world!

So, what’s the reason we’re melting? Simple, we’ve forgotten what it takes to remain standing! Wherefore take unto you The Whole Armour Of God, that ye may be able to Withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to Stand. Stand Therefore…” ) Or better yet another translation puts it like this: “Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, Every Weapon God Has Issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting You’ll Still Be On Your Feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word Is An Indispensable Weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.” (Ephesians 6:13-18 MSG).

Now, the part I like the most is: “…God’s Word is an Indispensable Weapon…” And the word “indispensable” means “absolutely, vitally necessary”. And the word “weapon” means “a thing designed or used for inflicting bodily harm or physical damage. A means of gaining an advantage or defending oneself.People of God, the only reason we’re “melting” is because we don’t dress ourselves daily in the Whole Armour of God! And we forget that much like police officers we’re “Licensed to Carry a Weapon”) and that “Indispensable Weapon” is “The Word of God”! When the pressures of this world begin to turn up the heat a notch and attempt to melt your convictions remember: The Word of God is Absolutely, Vitally Necessary as a Weapon Designed to Inflict Harm and Damage on the Devices of the Devil so that You are Well Equipped and Able to Defend Yourself and Your Convictions, and Remain Standing, Before, During and After the Battle!

Hebrews 4:12, “For the Word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (AMP) With a Weapon Like This, Why Would You Go Into Warfare Without It?!

Saints, stop wasting your praise on fighting! I know it’s common practice now that Praise is our Weapon! But if it was, why didn’t Jesus use it?! No, instead He used the Word of God! And maybe, just maybe, your fight is still going on because you’re so busy running, jumping, dancing, clapping, leaping, spinning and shouting that you’ve forgotten Jesus said in His Own Warfare: “IT IS WRITTEN”!

Church, praise God for what He’s done, what He’s doing and what He has promised to do! But when it’s time for Spiritual Warfare, I beseech you to follow the example of your Savior and use the Word of God!  “Jesus answered by quoting Deuteronomy: “It takes more than bread to stay alive. It takes a steady stream of words from God’s Mouth” (Matthew 4:4 MSG).

If you want to stop “melting” make sure you’re made up of more than Slushy Substance that can only remain standing when the weather and seasons are favorable! Instead, remember that it is the Whole Armour and the Word of God that will keep you and your convictions, from Melting…regardless of the weather or seasons!

“It is true that I am an ordinary, weak human being, but I don’t use human plans and methods to win my battles.  I use God’s mighty weapons, not those made by men, to knock down the devil’s strongholds.  These weapons can break down every proud argument against God and every wall that can be built to keep men from finding him. With these weapons I can capture rebels and bring them back to God and change them into men whose hearts’ desire is obedience to Christ.  I will use these weapons against every rebel who remains after I have first used them on you yourselves and you surrender to Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:3-6 AMP)

Remember, When You Stand Firmly on the Word of God, You Have No Fear of Melting in This Godless World, No Matter How Heated the Pressure of Conformity Gets!

“Now to Him Who is able to keep you without stumbling or slipping or falling, and to present [you] unblemished (blameless and faultless) before the presence of His glory in triumphant joy and exultation [with unspeakable, ecstatic delight]—“ (Jude 24 AMP)

When You Let the Word Mold You, the World Can’t Melt You! You Won’t Go Soft, You’ll Remain Standing!

Saints It’s Time Now to Get Off the Fence! It’s Time to Make Our Election Sure! No More Double Standards and No More Double Mindedness!

CHOOSE YE THIS DAY!

1 Corinthians 10:21, “You cannot drink [BOTH] the Lord’s cup AND the cup of demons. You cannot SHARE in BOTH the Lord’s table AND the table of demons [thereby becoming PARTNERS with them].” (AMP)

“If You Don’t Like What You See, Change It!”

dose

Are your gifts stirred up and set on fire and just dashed in ashes?

REMEMBER: YOU MUST ACCEPT THE TRUTH THAT CHANGE MEANS LETTING GO OF THE PAST
